Community pulls together to help Nashua High
to Develop Literacy Centers
It really takes a community to build a future for all students.
It all started with a conversation between Nashua High School teachers
Sandra Hodsdon, Ann Gendreau and Reading Specialist, Carol Tetler.
They looked at ways to develop literacy skills for high school students.
Part of the plan was to use technology to help students review,
practice and expand reading and writing skills in all content areas.
Head teachers, Susan Chmura and Mary McEvoy-Barrett joined Assistant
Principal, Cindy Matte to support their efforts. more...click

PASE joins Hudson Chamber
Non-profit who helps educators to aid special-needs children joins
Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce.
Nashua February 6, 2004
The Greater Hudson Chamber of Commerce recently accepted
Parents Assisting Special Education or PASE
as its newest member.
PASE is a proactive parent organization
dedicated to enhancing the education of children with special needs.
PASE cooperatively works with special educators to purchase materials,
supplies and training for the education of special-needs children.
PASE was started in 2000 by parents
of autistic children who had worked with local educators to better
the learning environment of their own children. They noticed because
the childrens needs were so great that often educators would
purchase supplies out of their own pockets or go without. It became
clear that if PASE could purchase
materials and supplies for these special educators that it would
stay with the classroom and benefit students year after year. PASE
has purchase supplies from Velcro to PCs for Special Education classrooms
throughout the Greater Hudson Area.
PASE will hold its annual fundraising
Golf Tournament at Green Meadow Golf Club on June 4th. To help special-needs
children or to register for the Golf Tournament contact PASE
call 315-0310 or by email at info@pasenh.org
